The price of the 2013 Genesis might be a bit more than its previous edition which was sold for $22,250 but the latest release of this sporty ride brings more to the table and can still be considered as a good buy looking at the technology and performance included in the package.
The Genesis Coupe has made some big strides since its birth three years ago and now it is given some new styling, redesigned interior, more potent engines, and paddle shifters for an 8-speed automatic gearbox which is an alternative if you do not want to get the manual 6-speed transmission. The last somehow gives the Genesis an edge against rivals like the Dodge Challenger, Nissan 370Z, Ford Mustang, and the Chevrolet Camaro.
The engine lineup for the Genesis Coupe also proves to be another amazing advantage. Consumers can get a turbocharged 2.0L that gives out 274 horsepower with a torque of 275 pound-feet for a base model. This engine linked to the 8-speed automatic gearbox gives you a decent 31 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg on city driving.
On the other end of the engine choices, the Genesis Coupe has a V6 3.8L direct injected engine that produces 348 horses and a torque of 295 lb-ft. This ride gives you 28 mpg on highway and 18 mpg on city driving.
Hyundai engineers also improved the suspension system of the car by adding suspension dampers. The Track and R-Spec models will be getting a Torsen differential. All models are equipped with a rev sensing rack-and-pinion with a better ratio.
Inside the car, the quality of materials used plus all the accents complete the sporty attitude of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
